Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced MS Access Developer to build, develop, and maintain our database solutions that support and enhance our business operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise in Microsoft Access and VBA, with the ability to design efficient systems from the ground up and optimise existing databases.

Key Responsibilities

MS Access Development

Design, build, and maintain Microsoft Access databases to meet evolving business needs. Develop and enhance forms, queries, reports, and automated workflows to improve operational efficiency. Maintain and optimise existing databases, ensuring performance, reliability, and data integrity. Analyse current Access systems and recommend improvements, redesigns, or potential migrations. Troubleshoot and resolve issues within Access applications promptly and effectively. Work closely with stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver user-friendly, scalable solutions. Ensure proper documentation, version control, and ongoing database support.

Skills & Experience Required

Technical Expertise:

Strong proficiency in Microsoft Access, including VBA (Visual Basic for Applications). Solid understanding of relational database design, development, and maintenance practices. Experience building databases from initial concept through to deployment. Ability to integrate Access with other Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook).

Soft Skills:

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate business needs into technical solutions. Highly organised, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities effectively.
