The role:

40 hours per week

Key Responsibilities:

Welding different materials (carbon, stainless steel and aluminium) Welding using different welding processes i.e. GTAW, manual metal arc, metal active gas, metal inert gas, automatic & semi automatic machine welding (submerged - Arc BUG-O)
Welding butts and fillets to high standard (pipe/plate) Main processes - FCAW (136) and MAG (135) also using ceramic tiles, TIG (141) pipework from 2mm thick to 30mm Self-verification on all welds and filling out job cards to maintain traceability Wear and maintain PPE at all times Mentor apprentices Welding of pressure vessels and structures

About you:

Valid welding certificate NVQ level 3 or equivalent CCSNG Safety Passport Ability to work as part of a team or individually Ability to understand weld symbols and WPS to a high standard
