Responsibilities

Safely operate company vehicles, including vans and lorries, in accordance with traffic laws and company policies Deliver goods to customers or clients across designated routes within scheduled timeframes Load and unload items, sometimes requiring heavy lifting, with attention to safety procedures Maintain accurate delivery documentation and obtain necessary signatures upon delivery Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules or issues Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance needs or safety concerns Ensure the security of goods during transit and handle any unforeseen delivery challenges professionally

Requirements

Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role, preferably with commercial driving experience Valid driver's licence, including relevant driver endorsements if applicable Experience with warehouse operations or logistics is advantageous Ability to perform heavy lifting when required, maintaining proper safety standards Excellent communication skills to interact courteously with clients and team members Strong organisational skills to manage routes efficiently and adhere to schedules A clean driving record and the ability to pass background checks and vehicle assessments
