Working on behalf of DHL UK in Cambuslang to cover routes in PA area. Generally averaging between 80/100 stops per day.

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods and materials efficiently and safely while ensuring excellent customer service. This role requires a strong understanding of vehicle operation and maintenance, as well as effective communication skills to interact with clients and warehouse staff.

Duties

Operate various types of vehicles, including vans, to deliver goods to designated locations. Ensure the safe loading and unloading of cargo, adhering to all safety regulations. Conduct routine checks on vehicles to ensure they are in good working condition, reporting any mechanical issues promptly. Communicate effectively with warehouse personnel and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including receipts and logs of mileage. Follow all traffic laws and company policies while driving to ensure safety on the road.

Skills

Proven experience as a van driver or delivery driver is preferred. Familiarity with commercial driving regulations and practices. Strong mechanical knowledge to identify basic vehicle issues. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication skills for liaising with clients and team members. Experience in warehouse operations is an advantage.
