We are seeking a passionate and dedicated individual to join our team as a Multi-Home Activities Coordinator, working full time hours across several of our care homes. Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement a varied and engaging activities program tailored to the interests and needs of each resident across multiple care homes.
Travel between homes, organizing individual and group activities such as reminiscing sessions, coffee mornings, games, gardening, baking, movie nights, arts and crafts, and community outings.
Provide cover for colleagues during annual leave or other absences and assist in organizing and leading local day trips using the home's minibus (a full driving license is required).
Coordinate entertainment and live events within the homes.
Foster connections with local community organizations, schools, churches, and clubs to enhance the residents' experience.
Encourage participation from residents, staff, relatives, and friends in all activities.
Maintain accurate records of residents' participation and continuously assess their needs.
Take photos of activities for marketing purposes and update the home's social media.
Ensure activity supplies are well-stocked and manage the activity calendar.
Complete and maintain all necessary paperwork, including care plans, activity logs, and consent forms, ensuring they are up-to-date and accurately reflect residents' involvement.
Plan and assist in fundraising initiatives to support the Residents Fund and organize fundraising events.
Requirements:
Full driving license to drive the minibus. ( 8 Seater minibus)
Flexibility to work weekends, bank holidays, and travel between different homes.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Creative and enthusiastic approach to planning and conducting activities.
Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with residents, staff, and the local community.
