About the role

Are you a Multi-Skilled Building Services Engineer looking for a new challenge with the opportunity to deliver a range of hard facilities management (FM) across a QinetiQ site? This hands on role will focus on mechanical and electrical & hard FM competencies and stake holder engagement within a wider team on-site.

You\'ll have the opportunity to get your teeth stuck into all aspects of pre-planned and reactive maintenance with frequent change, delivering maintenance across a range of facilities. You\'ll be working on a site that hosts various stakeholders such as contractors and clients. This is an incredibly exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced and ever changing environment across various areas of the business.

The Shoeburyness site has a unique terrain enables the over-water recovery of munitions up to a range of 22km, ground-to-ground firings of up to 27km and long-range direct fire up to 3.5km. MOD Shoeburyness is also a center of excellence for environmental testing of ordnance, munitions and explosives

What do I need?
You\'ll need experience in some of the following areas would be desirable, but not essential.

Experience & Qualifications:

• Engineering / Technical qualification: Apprenticeship or NVQ Level 3 (in an electrical subject)
• Good knowledge and level of competency in other areas of building services (BMS, electrical or mechanical services)
• 18th Edition or ability to work towards this
• Testing & Inspection
• Competent Microsoft Office Suite User
• Ability to solve problems and make decisions
• Full clean driving licence

What will I be doing?

You\'ll be responsible for the delivery of a varied

You\'ll provide the delivery of maintenance across all aspects of building services, strong knowledge of building systems across all disciplines with a key competency in either electrical or mechanical maintenance. You\'ll be undertaking pre-preventive maintenance, repair, and reactive tasks.

• Provide maintenance support (including installations; planned, preventive & corrective maintenance) in relation to site services, plant / equipment & buildings
• Deliver specialist technical maintenance support & services in relation to building plant / equipment
• Prioritisation of work programme to satisfy business needs
• Form part of the on call rota within the Maintenance Team
• Ensure robust application of health, safety & environmental procedures & processes
• Ensure maintenance standards and quality of work delivered are to the required level
• Oversee the conduct of contractors on site; monitoring the implementation & performance of tasks allocated
