Bouygues Energies & Services has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Mechanical Building Services Engineer to join our maintenance team at West Middlesex University Hospital in Isleworth. This is a permanent full-time position working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday from 8am-5pm.

Key Activities:

  • Reporting to the M&E Supervisor
  • To provide technical engineering support for the Hard FM Services department and carry out preventative maintenance to deadline plus maintain paperwork to support PPM activities
  • To respond to reactive and emergency faults and conduct reactive maintenance work to ensure compliance with KPI\'s
  • To manage Contractors as necessary
  • To undertake duties of mentoring, training and supervision of maintenance staff and apprentices as required.
  • To undertake training and qualify as Authorised, Responsible or Competent Person for mechanical plant and systems as required.
  • Responsibility for control of minor project and upgrading works ensuring objectives are achieved in accordance with pre-determined financial limits, timescales/ deadlines.
  • Working 40 hours per week, from 08:00 to 17:00, Monday to Friday with a requirement for out of hours cover on a rota basis.
Skills & Qualifications:
  • Must hold a recognised mechanical trade apprenticeship and/or relevant qualifications to level 3 (theory and practice) in a relevant mechanical discipline with suitable industry experience.
  • Experience in building services is required, including fault finding and rectifying
  • Able to demonstrate effective planning, organising and prioritising skills.
  • Be able to demonstrate initiative and judgement to resolve problems independently.
  • Competent Person L8 experience and Asbestos Awareness is essential; Fire Alarm Testing knowledge is desirable
  • In-depth knowledge of Health and Safety procedures, formal training an advantage
  • Be able to provide advice, instruction or training to groups.
