Job Description

This is a great opportunity for a multi-skilled Engineer to join a small team of Engineers within the Food Industry. We are a market leader in the bakery sphere with our Daventry site focussing on tray bakes such as brownies, flapjacks, tiffin, rocky road etc. for leading supermarkets and coffee houses.

As one of our highly skilled engineers you will:

Execute inspections/verification tasks as defined in the Maintenance Plan

Execute maintenance activities and record on E-Maint PPM System .

Ensure maintenance tools and equipment are in good condition

Work on a variety of equipment: Cutting and packaging equipment, Depositing and cleaning equipment, Motors and pumps, Emergency Lighting, Electrical fault finding, DAF Plant

Ensure good housekeeping/maintenance in all buildings and facilities, including 5S

Ensure utilities operation, control and maintenance

Record all interventions/observations according to work instructions

Support external contractors/technicians in activities relating to maintenance/utilities

Participate in continuous improvement programs including 5S, RCA & 5 Why and Daily Review meetings

Participate in training programs & coach others & nurture

To support and motivate productions teams in carrying out machine inspections and basic maintenance

To adhere to all Food Safety and Environmental legislation

To adhere to all Health & Safety requirements

To participate in small project work as requested by management

To demonstrate commitment to the food safety and quality culture activities at site, alongside the values of our business PPM (Planned preventative maintenance) & Reactive breakdown maintenance

Monday to Friday. Shift time likely 10:30 to 19:00 (some flexibility 1hour either way) Overtime available

Requirements

Time Served or engineering qualifications 17th/18th Edition Capable of self-management Strong technical background

Must have previous relevant experience in the food industry

Good verbal and written communication skills Flexibility to ensure cover is provided on all shifts during periods of holiday etc. Attention to detail Possess good electrical & mechanical skills

Pay: 45.00-46.00 per year
