We are seeking an experienced Multi Skilled Engineer to join our maintenance team. Reporting to the Production Manager and liaising closely with other departments.
The successful candidate will have specific skills to maintain, repair, fault-find and change parts in regards to manufacturing and production equipment. As well as maintaining other equipment on site.
Your expertise will be crucial in maintaining a safe and efficient work environment for our business operations.
Duties
Design maintenance strategies, procedures and methods
Carry out routine maintenance work and respond to equipment faults
Diagnose and troubleshoot breakdown problems in a timely and effective manner
Record maintenance and repair work performed and maintain an inventory of parts and supplies
Carry out quality inspections on equipment and systems
Liaise with departments other engineers and production colleagues as well as external contractors
Arrange specialist procurement of fixtures, fittings or components
Control maintenance tools, stores and equipment
Monitor and control maintenance costs
Deal with emergencies, unplanned problems and repairs
Ensure compliance with health and safety policies and procedures, keeping abreast of any changes to regulations
Ensure there is continuous cover for the machinery and equipment in case of breakdowns
Experience repairing heavy machinery and plant equipment
Skills

Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with colleagues and departments
Ability to multi-task and manage your time well
Awareness of Health & Safety Practices
Knowledge of other trades: plumbing, carpentry (desirable)
Knowledge (Useful mix of the following)
Single phase and 3ph motors
Inverters and speed control system
Air compressors, Ventilation systems and Gas heaters
Mechanical skills including Gearboxes, Mixers, and Diaphragm pumps
Pneumatic control systems
Instrumentation for temperature, pressure, level, and flow process
Computer office programs
Experience
Previous experience within similar role/environment
10 years experience plus
Qualifications
HND - Electrical and Electronic Engineering (Degree is preferable)
C&G Electrical installation - (18 Edition) IEE wiring regulations
