We are currently seeking a Multi-Skilled Engineer (preferably with an electrical bias) to support our high-performing team at our Cambridge site. Reporting to the site Operations Manager you will play a key part in ensuring our production equipment and systems operate efficiently, safely, and with minimal downtime. Working across mechanical and electrical disciplines, you will support both reactive maintenance and planned preventative maintenance activities.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out electrical and mechanical maintenance on a wide range of production equipment.
Diagnose and repair faults quickly and effectively to reduce downtime.
Participate in routine and preventative maintenance schedules.
Support site improvement projects, equipment upgrades, and installations.
To devise, fabricate, and install, improvements to Production Machines.
Ensure compliance with health & safety standards and company procedures.
Work collaboratively with the production management teams.
Skills & Experience Required
Time-served engineer or equivalent qualification in engineering (electrical or multi-skilled).
Proven experience in a manufacturing environment--experience in packaging or printing is highly desirable.
Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills ideally with an electrical bias.
Ability to interpret electrical drawings and documentation.
A positive, team-focused attitude and willingness to get stuck in.
Flexible to support out-of-hours maintenance if required.
Physical Demands of Role
Standing or walking for extended periods during shifts while performing maintenance or inspections across the production area.
Manual handling of tools, components and equipment - lifting, carrying, and positioning parts.
Sometimes working in awkward or confined spaces
Climbing ladders or steps and working at height
Use of hand power tools
Exposure to noisy, hot environment at times
Requirement to wear PPE at all times, in accordance with site requirements.
This role is factory-based, and we operate 24 hours a day, over 6 days.

What we offer:
You will be working 40 hours a week, over 5 days on a non-rotating shift pattern.
