Job Overview
As a Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer at Arbor Forest Products, you will be an integral part of our shift engineering team, responsible for carrying out maintenance across our vast 90-acre site. This is a hands-on role that ensures the smooth operation of our plant, services, buildings, and equipment, as well as maintaining our high standards of health, safety, and environmental compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform both reactive and preventative maintenance (PPM) tasks across the site.
Maximise machine availability
Maintain records to comply with site policies and health & safety standards.
Design, implement, and record PPM schedules.
Teach, coach, and mentor apprentices.
Be flexible to work extra hours when required, including weekends and possible night shifts.
Additional duties as directed by management.
What We Are Looking For:
Qualifications:
Time-served engineering apprenticeship or equivalent recognized qualifications. Minimum NVQ/BTEC level 3 or equivalent
Experience:
Multi-skilled with an electrical bias preferred.
Experience in high-speed, continuous industrial environments. Minimum 3 years post apprenticeship
Experience with PPM systems.
Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, pressure vessels, and dust extraction systems is beneficial.
Experience in woodworking environments is advantageous.
Skills:
Good computer skills (MS Office: Excel, Word, Outlook).
Strong literacy, numeracy, and communication skills.
Comprehensive Knowledge and experience of industrial Electrical (single & three phase) and Mechanical systems.
Experience with lean manufacturing systems.
