Multi-Skilled Fire Door Installer (Mobile) - UK

Location: Mobile - Various Commercial Properties

Salary: Negotiable (Based on Experience & Qualifications)

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM

We are looking for an experienced Fire Door Installer to join our team. This is a mobile role, primarily working on commercial properties, ensuring fire doors are installed to the highest standards and in full compliance with regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

Install and maintain fire doors to a high standard, ensuring compliance with current fire safety regulations. Conduct remedial work on existing fire doors as required. Work independently or as part of a team to complete jobs efficiently and professionally. Ensure all work is carried out safely and in line with company procedures. Maintain accurate records and complete relevant paperwork.
Requirements:

Relevant certification for installing fire doors (e.g., BM Trada, FDIS, or equivalent). Experience working in commercial environments. Full clean UK driving licence (essential). Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship. Good communication skills and a professional approach to work.

Duties

Interpret and work from schematics to install equipment and systems accurately. Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for various installation tasks. Build structures and install fixtures, including plastering and painting as necessary. Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of projects while maintaining high-quality standards. Conduct regular maintenance checks on installed systems to ensure optimal performance.

Requirements

Proven experience in installation work, preferably in a similar role. Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment. Experience in carpentry and fabrication is highly desirable. Ability to perform painting and plastering tasks as part of the installation process. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team environment.
