Job Advert: Groundworker/Machine Operator

Location:

UK-Wide (Must be comfortable working away from home)

Salary:

48,000 per annum (Paid weekly every Friday)

Monday to Friday,

Role Overview:

We are looking for an experienced Multi Skilled Groundworker's to join our civil engineering team. This role involves operating plant machinery, digging trenches for ducting, constructing concrete bases, reinstating various surfaces, and ensuring work is carried out to precise levels and depths as per design drawings.

Key Responsibilities:

Operating machinery for excavation and trenching (NPORS required). Laying ducts for electrical installations. Constructing and finishing concrete bases and foundation works. Reinstating surfaces, including tarmac and paving. Reading and interpreting design drawings accurately. Working to correct depths and setting out work according to plans. Installing and aligning curbs accurately. Supporting team members and assisting with general groundworks tasks. Ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.

Minimum Qualifications & Certifications:

CSCS/CPCS/NPORS SWQR (Street Works Qualification Register) Cat & Genny (Cable Avoidance Tool training)

Advantageous Certifications & Experience:

SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) SSSTS (Site Supervisors' Safety Training Scheme) Experience in drainage works Experience in utility works

Ideal Candidate:

Experienced in groundworks and excavation. Ability to read and work from construction drawings. Experience in curb installation and setting out to correct levels. Physically fit and capable of manual work. Willing to work away from home (accommodation provided). Full, clean UK driving licence required. Someone who wants to progress within the company.
