Tims Dairy is a privately owned family run company specializing in making high quality yogurts and cultured cream products for retail, food services and the ingredients sector and has been in operation for over 75 years.

As part of our development and expansion plan, we are looking for an Engineer who is dynamic, enthusiastic , confident and can take initiative, who can work independently as well as part of a team.

The Role

Your prime areas of responsibility will be:

Maintenance of electrical and mechanical equipment. Provide mechanical support to all factory machines, conveyors, labelers, scales and process equipment. Factory Electrical maintenance and installations. Conduct routine inspections and carry out PPM and breakdown response. Fault diagnostics and rectification. Work closely with all departments to minimise down time. Achieve set targets, both individual and team. Complete all the necessary documentation for the Engineering department. Keen eye for detail and strong experience in preventative maintenance. Preform all activities in accordance with Food, Health & Safety regulations. Ensure an effective handover between shifts. To observe, recognize and report component defects and impending failures. Carry out machine adjustments and changeovers.

Skills and Qualifications

Experience with hydraulic, pneumatics and conveyor systems Electrical Qualifications . 18th Edition advantageous Process plant and filler / packaging machinery experience desirable as well as Experience in factory environment. HMI working knowledge an advantage.

Pay: 35,000.00-48,000.00 per year
