Summary

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our team at Ladywell. This role is essential in ensuring that our facilities are well-maintained and safe for all residents and visitors. The Maintenance Engineer will play a key role in supporting our mission by maintaining the peaceful atmosphere of Ladywell. Flexibility of hours is available for this role, part time or full time will be considered.

Responsibilities

Perform regular maintenance and repairs on the buildings and grounds as scheduled. Be responsible for the general upkeep of the site, including maintenance of our extensive grounds. Provide a responsive maintenance and repair service to Sisters and the Franciscan Centre. Supervise and direct contractors whilst they are onsite. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to equipment and facilities. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs performed. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in all maintenance tasks. Assist with the installation of new equipment or systems as needed.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Maintenance Engineer or similar role. Ideally have expert knowledge as either a plumber, electrician, building/construction or as a landscaper/gardener. Be technically minded and be able to follow detailed instructions as required. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Good communication skills and a friendly manner.
