Job Overview

We are seeking an established Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the optimal functioning and safety of our manufacturing equipment and facilities. This role requires a proactive approach to maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair, with a focus on continuous improvement and operational excellence. The Maintenance Engineer will play a vital part in maintaining high standards of safety, efficiency, and reliability across all plant operations.

Duties

Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance PPM on machinery and electrical systems to minimise downtime. Troubleshoot and resolve complex mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and control system issues promptly. Read and interpret schematics, technical diagrams, and wiring diagrams to facilitate prompt repairs and upgrades. Welding and fabrication using appropriate tools and techniques would be advantageous. Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections on PC format for compliance and data collection purposes. Collaborate with Production teams and Engineering Manager to minimise disruptions during maintenance activities. Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations including LOTO and PTW systems, promoting a safe working environment.

Experience

Proven experience (8-10yrs +) in maintenance engineering within a manufacturing, FMCG, food or chemical setting. Good electrical experience with knowledge of control systems, wiring, and schematics. Mechanical knowledge that must include pneumatic and hydraulic system understanding. Demonstrated ability to read technical diagrams and schematics accurately. Team working and ability to work on own required. Good IT skills in Excel, Word and Outlook. Fluency in English, both written and spoken, for clear communication across departments.
