Job Description

We are seeking a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Technician to work on a rotating shift pattern (4 on, 2 off), including weekends and bank holidays, at our Middlesbrough site with our existing small engineering team. You will be based from our purpose-built food manufacturing facility with significant investment and current generation machinery.

The Role

You will work in a 2-person team, for the most part, liaising with production, hygiene and our technical department. The engineering team undertake planned and preventative maintenance and there's a huge variety of tasks that will range from general plant maintenance and breakdowns to building and site repairs . The factory operates on a 7-day per week basis, including weekends and bank holidays so you must be ready and able to commit to out of "office hours" working.

What you will be doing

You'll be driven and skilled in finding and rectifying faults on our busy production lines, conducting planned and preventative maintenance and working on a variety of equipment such as flow wrappers and ultrasonic cutters.

Maintain high standards on site, by performing routine maintenance and repairs on equipment and facilities, ensuring that PPM records are continuously updated Being accountable for assigned jobs Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues Work to the highest standards of safety, quality and hygiene on a busy food manufacturing site Providing knowledge, experience and support to install, maintain and repair production equipment Carrying out PPM in accordance with maintenance schedules Carrying out reactive maintenance as required Identifying and implementing improvements on equipment

About You

Able to work a rotating shift pattern (4 on, 2 off) to include weekends and bank holidays, with occasional flexibility to cover holidays Mechanical and Electrical Engineering experience is essential Your application will be enhanced if you have Flow Wrap experience Excellent route cause analysis skills Knowledge and experience of maintenance preferably in a FMCG environment. H&S/Food Safety systems and legislation knowledge would be an advantage 17th/18th edition desirable Strong decision making skills Engineering Qualifications
