Your role

As a Multiskilled Operative, you will support the maintenance team ensuring a safe and efficient operation is achieved in the general maintenance of terminal groundwork in and around the port environment.

Role Responsibilities

To carry out any works as requested within timescales provided. Assist contractors and other trades persons as and when required and as directed. Work as part of a team delivering high standards at all times. Establish, develop and maintain effective working relationships with all work colleagues, contractors and partnering agencies. Manage own workload effectively and raise any issues with Line Manager effectively. Be prepared to transfer and work at any other site where the Company conduct's it's business. Be prepared to attend site on a call out basis as and when required. Assist the UK Technical Manager in maintaining a high level of H&S practices at all times, particularly Safe Systems of Work and Risk Assessments within their area. Ensure that all Company policies and procedures are followed and a positive image of the Company maintained. Undertake any training, determined by management, enabling the post holder to fulfil the role efficiently. Carry out any other duties and tasks within their skill and capability, when requested to do so.

Your profile

A self-motivated and enthusiastic individual. Pro-active approach to and awareness of H&S. Team player, able to work on their own initiative. Full UK driving licence essential.
