to join our Responsive Maintenance team, delivering high-quality repairs and maintenance works to social housing properties across
Barnsley and nearby areas
. You will play a key role in achieving first-time fixes, maintaining high workmanship standards, and providing excellent customer service to residents.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out plastering works including patch repairs and full-wall replastering.
Undertake additional multi-trade tasks where required, such as minor joinery, tiling, or decorating (in line with responsive maintenance needs).
Work efficiently to complete all tasks to a high standard and within agreed timescales.
Use a PDA/handheld device to receive jobs and submit work details.
Liaise with supervisors and schedulers where follow-on work is required.
Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with industry and company Health & Safety standards.
Provide excellent service to residents, colleagues, and client representatives.
Minimum Requirements
NVQ Level 2 in Plastering
(essential).
Proven experience working within
social housing
or a similar maintenance environment.
Full UK
driving licence
(company vehicle provided).
Ability to deliver high-quality workmanship across plastering and other associated trades.
Strong customer-service skills and a professional attitude.
