Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Plasterer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for applying plaster to walls and ceilings, ensuring a smooth and even finish. This role requires a strong attention to detail and the ability to work with various materials and tools. The Plasterer will collaborate with other tradespeople on-site, contributing to the overall quality of construction projects.

Duties

Prepare surfaces for plastering by cleaning and repairing any imperfections. Mix plaster according to specifications for optimal consistency and application. Apply plaster using hand tools and power tools, ensuring an even coat across surfaces. Work alongside bricklayers and carpenters to integrate plastering with other construction elements. Perform finishing touches, including smoothing and texturing surfaces as required. Conduct repairs on existing plasterwork, addressing cracks or damage promptly. Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to health and safety regulations. Collaborate effectively with team members to meet project deadlines.

Skills

Proficient in the use of hand tools such as trowels, floats, and scrapers. Experience in bricklaying and masonry techniques is advantageous. Familiarity with power tools used in plastering applications. Ability to perform basic carpentry tasks related to plastering projects. Knowledge of roofing structures may be beneficial for specific projects. Welding skills are a plus for certain repair tasks or structural integrations. Strong attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship. Excellent communication skills and ability to work well within a team environment.
