We are seeking a skilled Roofer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in roofing and construction, with the ability to work effectively with various materials and tools. This role involves installing, repairing, and maintaining roofs on residential and commercial buildings. The successful applicant will be comfortable working at heights and possess a keen eye for detail to ensure quality workmanship.

Responsibilities

Install roofing systems, including shingles, tiles, and metal roofs, according to specifications. Repair damaged roofs by removing old materials and replacing them with new materials. Fabricate roofing components as needed using hand tools and power tools. Work collaboratively with other tradespeople, including carpenters and masons, to complete projects efficiently. Read and interpret schematics to understand project requirements. Perform heavy lifting when necessary to transport materials to job sites. Ensure all safety protocols are followed while working at heights and on construction sites. Maintain a clean and organised work area throughout the duration of projects.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Roofer or in a similar role within the construction industry. Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools relevant to roofing tasks. Ability to fabricate components as required for specific roofing projects. Strong knowledge of masonry techniques is advantageous. Physical stamina and strength for heavy lifting and working long hours on-site. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to read schematics and follow technical instructions accurately. A commitment to safety practices while working at heights.
