Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Roofer to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have experience working on roofing projects and possess a strong understanding of various construction techniques. This role involves installing, repairing, and maintaining roofs on residential, commercial, and industrial buildings. Candidates should be comfortable working at heights and on scaffolding, with a focus on safety and quality workmanship. Prior experience with construction estimating, blueprint reading, and using hand tools and power tools is highly desirable. This position offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects that require craftsmanship in roofing as well as related construction disciplines.

Responsibilities

Install new roofing systems using appropriate materials and techniques Repair and replace damaged or aging roofs efficiently and safely Measure and cut roofing materials accurately using hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment Read blueprints, schematics, and detailed drawings to ensure proper installation Perform heavy lifting of materials such as shingles, metal panels, or framing components Apply caulking, trim carpentry, stucco, or masonry work as needed for finishing touches Assist with construction estimating to determine material needs and project timelines Work on scaffolding or ladders at heights while adhering to safety protocols Coordinate with project managers and other trades to ensure timely project completion Maintain a clean and safe work environment throughout each project

Qualifications

Proven experience in roofing installation, repair, or related construction work Knowledge of construction estimating, blueprint reading, schematics, and fabrication techniques Proficiency with hand tools such as hammers, chisels, caulking guns; power tools including drills and saws Experience with concrete forming, carpentry (trim carpentry, frame carpentry), masonry, welding, tile laying, plumbing, metal stud framing, restoration work, remodeling, or maintenance person tasks is a plus Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently for extended periods Strong understanding of safety procedures when working at heights or on scaffolding Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail in measuring and cutting materials accurately Prior experience working on construction sites with knowledge of various building materials and techniques is preferred Ability to read technical drawings and schematics effectively

Pay: 16.00-17.00 per hour
