An opportunity has arisen for a Multi Skilled Tradesman/Woman for reactive and planned maintenance on commercial and domestic properties.

C&A Construction & Maintenance are a North East company specializing in the reactive maintenance and refurbishment of properties, both domestic & commercial. We operate throughout the North of England, from South Yorkshire to the Scottish Borders, and offer a 24 hour call-out service with our head office based in Co.Durham, with our headquarters in Crook.

The role will involve multi-skilled tasks which will be mainly Joinery, but experience in the following is desirable: tiling, lighting replacement, plumbing, decoration.

The role will involve:

- Completion of Planned Preventative Maintenance

- Reactive Activities and Projects

- Participation on an on call rota

- Joinery

- Plumbing

- Plaster Patching

- Filling

- Small Decoration works (patching)

- Tiling

- Fire door fitting

- Ironmongery Repairs

- Fault Finding

A single trade background is desired but not required. Eg - Time served, Joinery, Plumbing etc.

Working hours generally include Monday-Friday 0800-1630, there will be an opportunity for overtime on occasions and all employees are required to join the call-out rota for out of hours emergency jobs every 4-5 weeks for which overtime rates and call out payment applies; must also be prepared to work outside of normal hours when required.

Strong proficiency in joinery techniques Experience in multi-skilled trades such as plumbing, electrical work, and carpentry Ability to work independently and as part of a team Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail Relevant certifications or qualifications in tradesmanship Strong communication skills for interacting with clients and team members
