This exciting new role will play a central role in supporting our work on the multisport agenda across targeted communities in Peterborough, Fenland and St Neots.

We are recruiting for 3 new youth workers and a Community Sport Activator for our team to support our programmes of delivery in targeted areas:
Please note that there may be an opportunity to combine some roles for the right candidate.
Multi Sport Community Sports Activator
Location: Hybrid, Delivery in Peterborough, Fenland and St Neots
Salary: 28,000 pro rata
Terms: 26 hours (some evening and weekend working will be required)
Fixed term til August 2027
Key Responsibilities
Deliver a variety of multi-sport and physical activity sessions across key sites within Peterborough, Fenland and St Neots.
Support local people to get involved in regular activity, breaking down barriers to participation.
To recruit, support and empower a local volunteer workforce to support sustainability of sessions across priority places.
Work with partners (schools, local authorities, community groups, and sports clubs) to increase opportunities for physical activity.
Act as a role model to encourage healthier lifestyles and create a welcoming, inclusive environment.
Help plan, promote, and evaluate community programmes and events.
Youth Worker
Location: St Neots
Salary: 25,000 pro rata
Terms: 3 hours per week
Fixed term October 2025-March 2026
Youth Worker
Location: Peterborough
Salary: 25,000 pro rata
Terms: 3 hours per week
Fixed term October 2025-July 2026
Youth Worker
Location: Peterborough and Fenland
Salary: 25,000 pro rata
Terms: 10 Hours per week
Fixed Term October 2025- August 2027
Please note that there will be evening and weekend working required as part of the roles.
Key Responsibilities
Working with Young People
-
Toestablish contact and build sustainable working relationships with young people to encourage and motivate participation in physical activity programmes.
Programme Development -
To assist in the development of a programme of youth work aimed at promoting and ensuring the personal and social needs of young people are identified and met through physical activity programmes
.
Programme Delivery -
Toassist in the delivery of programmes of physical activities and mental wellbeing interventions to help improve and support the development of mild to moderate mental health conditions in young people.
Safeguarding and health and safety -
To take responsibility for the safeguarding and health and safety of young people during physical activity sessions.
About You
We'd love to hear from you if you:
Are energetic, approachable, and passionate about helping people be active.
Have experience coaching, delivering physical activity sessions, and working with community groups.
Hold relevant coaching qualifications.
Can adapt to different environments and engage with a wide range of participants.
Are flexible and willing to work evenings/weekends when needed.
Have a full UK driving licence and access to transport
