Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Multisports Coach/Activity Play Worker to join our team. 3.30 pm - 6pm. The ideal candidate will be passionate about creating a safe, engaging, and enjoyable environment for children. As a Play Worker, you will play a vital role in facilitating play activities that promote learning, social interaction, and physical development. Your ability to educate and coach children in various sports will be highly valued in this role.

Duties

Supervise and engage with children during playtime, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times. Plan and implement a variety of play activities that encourage creativity, teamwork, and physical fitness. Educate children on the importance of sportsmanship and healthy competition through structured sports coaching sessions. Foster positive relationships with children, encouraging their social skills and emotional development. Maintain a clean and organised play area, ensuring all equipment is safe for use. Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding children's progress and any concerns that may arise. Participate in training sessions to enhance your skills and knowledge related to child development and playwork.

Requirements

Previous experience working with children in a play or educational setting is desirable. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to connect with children of various ages. A passion for sports coaching or experience in leading sports activities is an advantage. Ability to work as part of a team while also being self-motivated. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. A commitment to safeguarding children's welfare and promoting inclusive play opportunities.
