We are looking for a Multi-skilled Engineer to join our team on a 6-month fixed-term contract.



In this role, you will carry out maintenance and repairs across the electrical, mechanical, and plumbing plant, with a particular focus on your core trade discipline.

As Multi-skilled Engineer, you'll work closely with the manager, medical teams, nursing staff, and other client personnel, ensuring that all works are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest standard.

Key Responsibilities

Carry out planned, reactive, and corrective maintenance across mechanical systems (plant, air handling, alarms, catering, water, etc.) Diagnose faults, source materials/spares, and ensure accurate records of work completed Operate, monitor, and fault-find using the Building Management System (BMS) Participate in on-call rota and provide timely response to urgent tasks Act as Competent Person for Medical Gases and Legionella (training provided) Ensure compliance with hygiene, health & safety, COSHH, and company procedures Liaise effectively with managers, Trust staff, subcontractors, and patients to support safe operations

Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications

Strong technical knowledge of mechanical systems, maintenance, and fault diagnosis Proficient in using and interpreting Building Management Systems (BMS) Excellent problem-solving skills with ability to work under pressure Strong communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with staff, contractors, and patients Commitment to health & safety, hygiene standards, and compliance procedures Flexible and reliable, with a willingness to participate in on-call rota and training Self-motivated with a proactive approach to minimising downtime and costs
