We're Hiring - Multi-Trade / Installation Technician



We are looking for an experienced and reliable

Multi-Trade / Installation Technician

to join our dedicated team. This is a hands-on role installing specialist equipment that supports elderly and disabled people, working for a leading adaptations contractor across the South of the UK. The work is varied, meaningful, and makes a genuine difference in people's lives.

Role Overview



This role is best suited to a skilled, practical individual with proven experience in installation, multi-trade, plumbing or property maintenance. You'll be carrying out a wide range of installations, from accessibility adaptations to specialist products, while ensuring every job is completed to the highest standards of care and professionalism.

You'll be part of a small, supportive team that takes pride in quality workmanship and excellent customer service. For the right candidate, there are opportunities for further development and progression within the business.

This role includes a Company van, mobile phone, hand and power tools.

What the Job Involves



Installation of specialist equipment in customers' homes, including mobility and accessibility products.

Carrying out associated multi-trade tasks such as plumbing, carpentry, basic building works, and site preparation.

Preparing, loading, and unloading the van with the required tools and equipment.

Working to a "job and finish" schedule -- some days longer, some shorter.

Heavy lifting and practical on-site work.

Maintaining professionalism and respect when working in customers' homes.

Must be able to travel to the Woolston office when required.

What We're Looking For



DBS Compliant

Full UK driving licence (essential).

Strong hands-on skills with tools and multi-trade work.

Experience in installation, construction, property maintenance, or adaptations.

Practical knowledge in plumbing, carpentry, and general building.

Experience with any of the following products is highly desirable:

o Ceiling hoist systems

o Modular ramping systems

o Wash/dry toilets (Geberit or Closomat)

Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Good communication skills and a professional, customer-focused approach.

Comfortable with physically demanding work and flexible hours (weekdays only).

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 30,000.00-35,000.00 per year
