We're seeking a reliable and multi-skilled Maintenance Handy Person to join the on-site facilities team at Westfield London, one of Europe's busiest and most prestigious shopping destinations.

Working as part of a professional night shift team, you'll be responsible for keeping the centre in excellent condition through hands-on maintenance, painting, decorating, and basic repairs.

The role is varied and rewarding, and it is ideal for someone who takes pride in their work and enjoys being part of a high-performing facilities operation that keeps the site running safely and smoothly overnight.

This is an excellent development role for anyone looking to progress in facilities or engineering. Previous team members have completed fully funded L8, IPAF, and PASMA training, with others achieving NVQs in Plumbing or Electrical. You'll receive structured support to develop your skills and grow your career.



Shift Pattern: 4 on / 4 off - Nights Only (19:00-07:00) + Extensive Overtime.

Key Responsibilities

Carry out general maintenance and repair works across the shopping centre, including fabric, plumbing, and minor mechanical tasks. Undertake painting and decorating to ensure a high-quality appearance throughout. Respond to minor plumbing issues such as unblocking toilets and sinks and repairing leaks. Use the site's CAFM system to log jobs, record tasks, and update completed work. Assist engineers and contractors as required to support maintenance activities. Work proactively to identify and report faults or hazards across the building.

Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications

Proven maintenance or caretaking experience within a commercial, retail, or large-site environment. Competent across basic plumbing, painting, decorating, and general repair work. A hands-on, reliable, and self-motivated individual who takes pride in delivering quality work. Comfortable working nights and independently while maintaining high standards. Good communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to support engineers and site teams. Relevant trade qualifications (City & Guilds, NVQ, etc.) are a bonus, but not essential.
