to join our Voids team, delivering high-quality reinstatement and refurbishment works across a busy housing portfolio. The successful candidate will have strong core plastering abilities supported by additional multi-trade skills, ensuring void properties are prepared and finished to a lettable standard efficiently and professionally.
Full skim works, patch plastering, bonding, float and set, and making good damaged surfaces.
Preparation of walls and ceilings, including boarding, tape & jointing, and repair works.
Achieving high-quality finishes ready for decoration.
Associated Multi-Trade Tasks
Painting & Decorating
: preparation, undercoating, glossing, emulsion work, and making good.
Basic Carpentry / Fabric Repairs
: boxing-in, stud work repairs, minor joinery, and general maintenance tasks.
Support with
small ad-hoc tasks
typically required during void reinstatement.
Operational Duties
Work to agreed
pricework
rates or
day-rate
arrangements depending on task type.
Deliver works within required timescales to achieve void turnaround targets.
Maintain accurate job records, variations, and material usage.
Communicate effectively with supervisors, tenants (where applicable), and other trades.
Comply with all health & safety requirements, method statements, and risk assessments.
RequirementsEssential Skills & Experience
Proven experience as a plasterer or multi-trade operative in domestic or social housing settings.
Ability to produce high-quality plaster finishes consistently.
Competence in basic carpentry, painting, and general maintenance tasks.
Experience within
voids, responsive repairs, or refurbishment works
is advantageous.
Tools & Transport
Own van and full set of tools
appropriate to plastering and associated tasks.
Clean UK driving licence.

Contract & Pay
Combination of pricework and day-rate
