Salary - 37.5 Hours per week - 32,078.43



40 Hours per week - 34,216.99

The ideal candidate will bring an extensive background in roofing, paired with a basic skill set in additional trades such as basic carpentry, patch plastering, PVC, tiling and ability to work at heights to deliver high-quality workmanship.

This is a hands-on role requiring expertise in roofing repairs and maintenance, along with strong communication skills, the ability to work well independently or as a team. Job Purpose



Undertake all roofing work and any associated tasks.

Undertake works to various trades where competent as and when required

Key Responsibilities



Duties Key Performance Area 1: Quality/Delivery



Ensure all work is carried out to specification and the required quality standard of workmanship. Liaise with other employees of the Company as necessary in order to complete specified works. Ensure levels of productivity and work within the required timescales/categories. Carry out work in accordance with Current Legislation, British Standards, Codes of Practice, Safe systems of work and recognised industrial standards for such work.

Key Performance Area 2: Customer Service/Focus



Maintain effective working relationships with colleagues/clients/customers and work as part of team. Deal courteously and efficiently with the general public to meet the needs of the Service user. Understand and be committed to customer care.

Key Performance Area 3: Safety



Maintain a safe working environment. Carry out works at height Knowledge of relevant Health & Safety legislation.

Other Responsibilities

Person Specification



Qualifications, knowledge and technical ability



Essential



Have experience and extensive knowledge of roofing

Have experience in associated trades (i.e. carpentry, pvc, tiling, paving/brickwork, painting)

Hold full valid UK driving licence

Desirable



City & Guilds apprenticeship, or other recognised qualification

Communication



Essential



Able to communicate all job aspects in a clear and concise manner

Desirable



Experience with PDA (palm top) job recording technology.

Working with others



Desirable


Proven record of working as part of a team, but can use own initiative to work alone.

General



Essential



Be physically fit.

Have good coordination and practical ability

Be aware of H&S issues/requirements
