Overview

We are seeking a dependable and professional Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods efficiently and safely to various locations, ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining excellent customer service. Duties

Safely operate company vehicles, including vans and lorries, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations. Plan delivery routes to optimise efficiency and minimise delays. Load and unload goods, sometimes requiring heavy lifting, ensuring items are secured properly for transit. Deliver packages to customers' premises, maintaining professionalism and courtesy at all times. Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery times or any issues encountered during routes. Maintain accurate records of deliveries made, including signatures and documentation as required. Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues promptly.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role involving commercial driving. Valid driver's licence with a clean driving record; a driver qualification is preferred. Experience with warehouse operations or logistics is advantageous. Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary, often involving large or bulky items. Excellent communication skills to interact professionally with customers and team members. Organised with good time management skills to meet delivery deadlines. Knowledge of local roads and navigation tools is beneficial. This position requires a reliable individual capable of handling physical tasks while providing exceptional service on the road. Candidates should be organised, safety-conscious, and possess strong communication skills to succeed in this role.

Pay: 110.00-120.00 per day
