Position Overview:
We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic, reliable, and hardworking Multi-Skilled Engineer at our Harlow Bros site in Long Whatton. This is a fast-paced working environment working within a well-established team.
What you'll be doing as Multi-Skilled Engineer :
Maintenance and Upkeep of the primary equipment required to process and profile timber products
Ensuring the Facilities at the site are maintained 'fit for purpose' and remain in a safe state for all authorised users
Ensuring compliance of all site operations to legal requirements for installed and mobile equipment, plant, services, and utilities
Support improvement activities to increase operational efficiency
Plan and effectively deliver capex projects
Support the wider business in maintaining and improving engineering asset across branches and direct business partners
To serve our customers across the business there are several installed timber processing machines across the branch network. This equipment may be directly or indirectly in scope of the role. But it is expected, at a minimum, that this role will be able to provide expert advice on the maintenance, upkeep, and life-cycle management of this equipment
Your Skills:
Accreditation in Electrical installation
Experienced in Electrical and mechanical maintenance
City & Guilds (or equivalent) in an engineering practice
High level of competency in English and Maths.
Experienced in the maintenance of timber cutting and profiling equipment.
Experience in a variety of equipment types
At least 5 years' experience in a leading engineering role
Demonstrated understanding of Health and Safety regulations relating to all engineering activities, including PUWER, LOLA, COSHH etc.
Equipment and engineering installations, as well as project management
NVQ Level 3
