The Role:
As a
Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer
, you'll play a key role in ensuring the safe, efficient, and cost-effective maintenance of a wide range of standard and bespoke machinery. You'll work across both planned and reactive maintenance, keeping production running smoothly while maintaining a strong focus on safety and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
Carry out
routine and reactive maintenance
on a variety of machinery and equipment.
Diagnose and resolve
mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic faults
quickly and effectively.
Implement and manage
preventative maintenance programs
to reduce downtime.
Coordinate with production teams to
schedule and prioritise maintenance tasks
.
Maintain accurate maintenance records using the
CMM (Computerised Maintenance Management) system
.
Ensure all work is completed in compliance with
HSE regulations and internal policies
.
Conduct
quality checks
on equipment and systems to ensure ongoing reliability.
Provide
emergency breakdown support
when required.
Support
engineering projects and continuous improvement initiatives
across the site.
Collaborate effectively with team members, including joint maintenance work when required.
Offer
coaching and mentoring
to junior engineers or apprentices.
About You:
We're looking for a motivated and flexible engineer who takes pride in solving problems and improving processes.
You will have:
A relevant qualification in
Mechanical and/or Electrical Engineering
(e.g. NVQ, HNC, HND, or equivalent).
Proven experience as a
Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer
in an industrial or manufacturing setting.
Solid knowledge of
mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems
.
Familiarity with
HSE standards and safe working practices
.
Experience with
hydraulic systems, welding, milling/turning
would be an advantage.
The ability to
read and interpret engineering drawings
.
Strong
fault-finding and troubleshooting skills
.
A proactive,
solution-focused mindset
and a willingness to learn and adapt.
Flexibility to support overtime or weekend work when required.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: 40,000.00-45,000.00 per year
