About this role

The main purpose of the role is to work alongside the asset Site LOLER Competent Person and perform rigging activities as directed by BP representatives and in compliance with the relevant Company and client standards and procedures.
To assist asset Crane Operator Focal Point with crane operations, basic maintenance routines.

Main responsibilities
Rigger

Assist in site surveys and provide advice on equipment selection and use. Provide technical advice to client Site Representative Carry out lifting duties as required Inspect and issue equipment from site rigging loft Provide support to Company Site LOLER Competent Person Undertake other works as directed by BP representatives on duties unrelated to rigging
operations, including emergency duties deemed to be within your competence.

Crane Operator stage 2 (Deck Lifts Only).


Competently operate platform pedestal cranes under the direction of nominated Client personnel. Crane operating duties are restricted to the specific crane(s) and platform(s) on which the employee has been deemed competent. Operations should be carried out in accordance with the authorised operators instructions manual, platform operating procedures, appropriate sections of the Company's Quality Assurance Manual, (i.e., Standing Instruction No. One) and other relevant documentation.

HSEQ Responsibilities

- It is mandatory that the incumbent is familiar with, and follows the Company's Health, Safety, Environment and Quality Management System and takes an active part in the compliance and improvement of the Management Systems.


- The incumbent must report any accidents, incidents, near misses, actual or potential problems with products, services or systems according to the Management System processes/procedures.


- The incumbent also has legal responsibilities under country-specific health, safety and/or environmental legislation to follow these.


- The incumbent is also responsible for the health and safety arrangements of subordinates (if any) and for any persons visiting them while on the Company premises.

Qualifications & Experience

NVQ Level 3 Rigger Rigging Loft Management OPITO Rigger Stage 3/4 BOSIET / FOET / MIST Working at Height IRATA Level 1 (desirable but not essential)

Desirable, Training available if required.

Sparrows Stage 2 Crane Operators Certificate (or equivalent) Willing to work towards Sparrows Stage 2 Crane Operators Certificate (or equivalent) Willing to work towards LCP Assessment and potentially cover Resident LCP role
