MSK Specialist Podiatrist Vacancy

45-65k on target earnings per annum (dependent on experience)



We are looking for a full or part time employed Podiatrist with experience in MSK to join our amazing team.

We offer a fantastic range of treatments in our thriving practice including:

Musculoskeletal assessment (including video and 3D gait analysis on treadmill) Ultrasound Laser / Shockwave Bespoke orthoses / 3D scanning Nail surgery Verruca swift microwave therapy, cryotherapy, Verrutop & needling Toenail reconstruction Diabetic foot assessments Routine podiatry
We have exceptional administrative support from our reception team, leaving you more time to focus on treating patients. This will include video and 3D gait analysis, Footscan pressure plate, laser, shockwave and ultrasound, as well as rotations within all specialities. We welcome applications from thise with experience in musculoskeletal podiatry.

Deliver safe, professional, and effective foot health treatments. Work collaboratively with podiatrists and other team members. Maintain high standards of hygiene, infection control, and patient safety. Ensure timely and accurate record-keeping in patient files. Demonstrate commitment to professional development. Uphold the reputation and values of Surrey Foot Service in all interactions.

Qualifications & Skills Required:



Degree in Podiatry, Masters an advantage, clinical experience highly valued. Strong knowledge of foot anatomy, common MSK conditions, routine podiatric conditions. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a patient-first approach. Commitment to clinical excellence, hygiene, and regulatory compliance. Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team. Current first aid training and professional indemnity insurance. Experience in MSK podiatry, steroid injections, laser/shockwave therapy and ultrasound would be beneficial but not essential.

Responsibilities



Assess and diagnose foot and lower limb conditions in patients, including those with MSK pathologies, sometimes complex conditions. Be willing to mentor other team members in MSK pathologies, treatment plans, research etc. Develop and implement treatment plans tailored to individual needs. Contribute to MSK protocols and pathways. Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with HCPC standards. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care, and refer on where necessary. Utilise IT systems for scheduling and patient management effectively. Communicate clearly with patients and colleagues to enhance treatment outcomes.

Follow infection prevention and control protocols, ensuring clinic hygiene and sterilisation standards are met.

Adhere to decontamination procedures for instruments and treatment areas in compliance with industry regulations.

Ensure personal hygiene and uniform standards align with clinic policies.

Compliance & Continuous Development



1.

Adhere to all clinic policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

2.

Keep up to date with best practices, clinical advancements, and professional development.

3.

Maintain valid professional indemnity insurance and relevant industry certifications.

4.

Attend team meetings, training sessions, and professional development workshops as required.

Remuneration



Please note remuneration is related to average earnings and we work on commission-based salary on top of a base salary. The earning potential of this role is higher than noted above, depending on the ability of the candidate and willingness to embrace the role!
