The Music Centre is a very busy, student-facing environment which supports the wide range of music-making activity at the University of Warwick.


You will be working in a small team helping to facilitate the many and varied activities the department run through administration and event support.


You will help to co-ordinate a diverse range of musical activities working to support the Music Centre staff and students. Flexibility, strong organisational skills and priority management are key attributes to succeeding in this role as you will regularly be responding to many and varied requests.


As part of the role you will also work with the Programming team, offering administrative support for the Arts Centre's Orchestral Series and acting as a key link between departments.



About You
You will be surrounded by music and music-making in this role so a love of music is a must. We work with musicians from a huge range of backgrounds and cultures so an open mind and a willingness to learn are essential.


You will need to be able to work to often quite tight deadlines and be able to work independently to achieve this. You will need to be friendly and welcoming as a public-facing member of the team and happy to work in a busy and often noisy office environment.


What you'll do:

Offer administrative support for Music Centre activities Be a first point of contact for the Music Centre and make decisions about how best to meet its users Work with the Creative Director to support the Orchestral Series Be responsible for promoting the activities of the Music Centre through Social Media channels Work with the marketing team to deliver print and online resources Support concerts and events on performance days through administrative and logistical tasks

You'll bring:

Experience of planning and co-ordinating projects and/or events Experience of working on education/community projects Previous experience of arts and/or educational administration Knowledge of the requirements of live music performances Excellent communication skills IT skills in MS Office and experience of Artifax or willingness to be trained A willingness to work occasional evenings and weekends as required A flexible, can-do attitude An enjoyment of working in a busy often fast-paced environment A love and good level of knowledge of classical music

Warwick Arts Centre is the largest multi art form arts centre outside London, presenting events, activities, films and exhibitions to over 200,000 people every year.
