Music Teacher - Full Time

Open to Qualified and Unqualified Teachers (school-based experience essential)

We are seeking an inspiring Music Teacher to lead the delivery of Music across the whole school, from Nursery to Year 6. This full-time role requires a confident and enthusiastic practitioner who can shape a high-quality Music curriculum, foster creativity, and raise standards of achievement for all pupils.

The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching Music to every year group, modelling excellent practice, and ensuring strong continuity and progression throughout the subject. You will take the lead on Music events, work collaboratively with staff and local organisations, and develop a culture of musical enjoyment and ambition across the school community.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver engaging and progressive Music lessons from Nursery to Year 6. Model excellent classroom practice and support colleagues in developing their teaching strategies. Monitor and evaluate the quality of teaching and learning, and implement improvements where needed. Ensure continuity, progression, and appropriate differentiation for all learners, including SEN, EAL and more able pupils. Plan and lead Music events for families, as well as collaborative opportunities with local schools and organisations. Use ICT effectively to enhance learning in Music. Provide pupil performance information to senior leadership and support whole-school improvement priorities. Liaise with external Music professionals and attend relevant training, sharing knowledge with staff. Manage the allocated Music budget in line with the School Improvement Plan. Support the professional development of staff and contribute to a positive, motivated school culture.
This role is ideal for someone passionate about Music education, eager to take ownership of a whole-school subject, and committed to delivering exceptional outcomes. Candidates must hold school-based teaching experience, regardless of qualification route.
