The Role
We are looking for a bubbly, energetic, and passionate peripatetic Music Teacher who can inspire students through engaging lessons and lead our after-school clubs.
The successful candidate will have strong musicianship on piano, guitar, and voice, with drums/percussion as a bonus. You will deliver peripatetic lessons during the school day, making music fun and accessible for all students, and run an inclusive after-school singing club where children can explore their voices, build confidence, and perform together.

Key Responsibilities
Peripatetic Teaching:
Provide engaging, tailored instrumental and vocal lessons for students across different year groups.
Teach piano, guitar, and singing (with percussion as an advantage).
Adapt lessons to suit individual learning styles and abilities.
Inspire confidence, creativity, and enthusiasm in students.
After-School Club:
Lead a fun and dynamic singing club.
Create a welcoming, inclusive space where children enjoy singing and performing.
Teach a variety of musical styles, encouraging creativity and teamwork.
Prepare students for informal performances, assemblies, and school events.
Music Enrichment:
Encourage performance opportunities and foster a love for music in every student.
What We're Looking For
Experience & Skills:
Proven experience teaching music in schools or as a peripatetic teacher.
Strong musicianship in piano, guitar, and voice (percussion a plus).
Confident in leading group singing and building enthusiasm.
Skilled in engaging children and making lessons fun.
Strong classroom and behaviour management.
Personal Attributes:
Bubbly, lively, and enthusiastic personality.
Passionate about music and teaching children.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Organised, reliable, and proactive.
Flexible and creative in teaching approach.
Requirements:
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (essential).
Ability to start ASAP.
Driving licence and access to a car (highly desirable due to transport links).
