To instruct students in the playing of a musical instrument, by following a syllabus provided through the London College of Music / Registry of Guitar Tutors / CCEA / Rockschool / Trinity Board, or by structuring a syllabus suited to the particular instrument and ability of the students.
Duties and Obligations:
To deliver music tuition to groups of students in a clear, structured and professional manner.
To monitor and assess students' progress on an ongoing basis, to maintain records of these and provide reports on all students.
To ensure that young students are safe and not at risk of any kind, while in the care of the school.
To report immediately any incident, accident or risk of any kind, that arises during school activities to the designated child protection / health and safety officer

To attend training sessions when required. (Child Protection / Health & Safety requirements and legislation can change periodically and it is essential that you keep yourself well informed of these. The school will ensure that notification of any changes, and the implications, are relayed to you. Location and Schedule:
Music lessons take place throughout all areas of Belfast, classes take place at All Saints College (Glen Rd), Holy Family Primary School, An Droichead, and Kennedy Centre.
Classes are 1 hour long and primarily take place in the evenings as to accomadate school schedules. Tutors classload will depend on tutor availability and pupil needs, however most tutors take 1-2 classes per week.
Qualitifications:
Proficiency in at least one primarily instrument
Strong communication skills to effectively convey musical concepts
Ability to teach to multiple age and ability levels
Teaching/tutoring experience recommended but not required
