Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Decorator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail and a passion for transforming spaces through colour and design. This role involves working on various projects, including residential and commercial properties, where you will apply your expertise in painting and decorating to create aesthetically pleasing environments.

Duties

Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and filling holes as necessary. Apply paint, wallpaper, and other finishes to walls, ceilings, and other surfaces with precision. Collaborate with clients to understand their vision and provide expert advice on colour schemes and materials. Ensure all work is completed to a high standard while adhering to safety regulations. Maintain tools and equipment in good working order, reporting any issues promptly. Communicate effectively with team members and clients throughout the project lifecycle. Drive to various job sites as required, ensuring timely arrival and efficient work execution.

Qualifications

Proven experience in construction painting or a related field is preferred. Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written, are essential for client interactions. A valid driving licence is required for travel between job sites. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating excellent organisational skills. A keen eye for detail and a strong sense of aesthetics are crucial for success in this role.
