About Us


Hub8 by Plexal is more than a co-working space, we're Cheltenham's hub for innovation, collaboration, and the growth of the local tech community. We've recently opened the 20,000 sq ft MX Innovation Centre at the heart of the Minster Exchange (MX) rejuvenation scheme, creating an ecosystem where start-ups, corporates, academia, and government work together to drive inclusive economic growth across the region.

About the Role


We're seeking an experienced Community Manager to join Hub8 by Plexal. This role combines team leadership with oversight of workplace operations, events, member services, and community programmes.

You will lead the workspace team of four, ensuring smooth delivery across all areas, while working closely with the SLT to support business priorities and wider organisational goals. This role offers the chance to shape how Hub8 engages with its community, runs its workplace, and supports the growth of the local tech ecosystem.

Location / Work Environment



Based at Hub8 MX (Cheltenham) with occasional travel to other sites or events.

Flexible working arrangements may be considered.

Key Responsibilities



Lead and support your operational team on a day-to-day basis.

Liaise with our partner cafe

Oversee sales, events, member activities, and workplace operations, ensuring consistent delivery and a great experience for our community.

Work with the SLT to support company-wide objectives and priorities.

Manage budgets, resources, and operational processes to ensure efficiency and impact.

Represent Hub8 externally within the innovation and tech community.

Decision-Making Authority



Authority over day-to-day operations of the workspace team within agreed budgets and policies.

Input into broader company decisions in collaboration with the SLT.

Escalates major HR, safety, or operational issues to the SLT and MD as appropriate.

Who We're Looking For



Leadership experience in operations, community management, or workplace coordination.

Ability to lead and develop high-performing teams.

Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with confidence liaising across all levels of the business and externally.

Enthusiastic about community engagement, operational excellence, and creating great member experiences.
