National Account Manager

to join our team and help us continue our growth story.

The Role

As our National Account Manager, you will take ownership of a portfolio of national accounts, balancing

60% account management

with

40% focus on winning new business opportunities

. This is a remote role with regular travel to customer sites and to our Essex office (minimum twice per month).

Key Responsibilities

Manage and grow existing national accounts, ensuring strong relationships and sustained sales performance. Identify, target, and secure new business opportunities within the food-to-go and retail categories. Develop and implement account plans, deliver sales targets, and drive profitable growth. Negotiate contracts, pricing, and promotional activity with customers. Collaborate with internal teams (NPD, Operations, and Supply Chain) to deliver customer needs. Provide market insight, competitor analysis, and category knowledge to inform strategy.

About You

Minimum

5 years' account management experience

, ideally at national level. Proven track record of both managing and growing accounts, and developing new business. Experience within the

sandwich, food-to-go, or wider chilled FMCG category

is highly desirable. Strong negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to influence at all levels. Comfortable working remotely with regular travel commitments. Self-motivated, commercially astute, and results-driven.
