Ideally you will have experience of managing accounts such as Kingfisher Group, Travis Perkins Group or Wickes but this is not essential.

Job Opportunity
Working as our
National Account Manager,
your role will include:
Being accountable for the sales and profit performance of your account base
Owning and developing account relationships end to end
Creating and delivering a business plan for your set of accounts in line with company strategy
Driving effective negotiations and improving our commercial relationship
Arranging and attending regular meetings with the relevant business decision makers to assess sales opportunities and performance
Reporting monthly on progress versus targets, including actions to be taken to address any shortfalls
Working with the Head of National Accounts to identify key short and longer-term sales plan/strategy for national accounts.
Actively increasing our portfolio of national account customers by identifying new business opportunities and managing end to end process of a new trading account
Driving new business, product listings and improve margin within existing accounts
Working collaboratively across functions to ensure marketing activities are supported

Essential Skills
At least 3 years' experience in national account management, ideally in the DIY/Trade industry
Self-motivated with ability to effectively manage your time
Sales driven with proven track record to develop accounts and deliver sales growth
Creative commercial thinking, provides new ideas
Confident presentation skills, ability to pitch products and marketing solutions
Exceptional negotiation skills with the ability to close a sale
Able to spot a new opportunity
