With a growing presence across the UK retail landscape, we are expanding our commercial team to support the next phase of our growth journey.

The Role



We are seeking an experienced National Account Manager to take ownership of key UK retail accounts and drive sales across multiple channels. This is a pivotal role within the commercial team, managing existing partnerships and unlocking new growth opportunities with leading national retailers.

Key Responsibilities



Manage and develop new and existing relationships with national and regional retail partners. Deliver annual revenue, margin and distribution targets across assigned accounts. Lead customer business and promotional planning in collaboration with marketing and supply chain. Analyse performance and market trends to drive actionable insights and category growth. Negotiate pricing, promotional activity and trading terms in line with company strategy. Build strong internal relationships to ensure accurate forecasting, stock planning and seamless account execution. Represent Canal Toys at key customer meetings, trade shows and seasonal previews.

About You



Minimum 8 years' relevant and recent experience in Consumer Goods. Minimum 5 years' relevant and recent experience as a National Account Manager or Key Account Manager. Recent experience in the toy industry is essential. Proven success managing national retail accounts, ideally across grocery and speciality channels. Able to demonstrate a strong commercial acumen, negotiation and forecasting skills. Flexible, adaptable and comfortable working in an entrepreneurial environment. Confident communicator with excellent presentation and relationship management skills. Analytical, results-driven, and highly organised with a proactive mindset. Self-motivated with the ability to work autonomously and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Good command of Excel and all Microsoft suite is essential.
