Job Description

We currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced National HR Advisor to join the team here at Nationwide Platforms. Nationwide Platforms is a fast-growing commercial business, and as we continue to go from strength to strength, we are proud to be a support function integral to its growth.


Reporting into the Head of HR Operations, and working closely alongside our wider HR team, you will be responsible for providing first-line advice and support on all people-related issues to our UK Operational business whilst remaining consistent with our internal policies and procedures and current legislation. Dealing with staff welfare and administration-centred activities and strategy planning to support the Field HR Business Partners.


Responsible for collecting, analysing and interpreting HR data, generating reports and providing insights to support data-driven decision-making for the organisation to improve workforce planning, talent acquisition, employee retention, and other HR initiatives.


Ideally, we're looking for someone based in the Midlands area, (but we are open to someone who lives within reasonable commuting distance to our of our main depot hubs), and we are looking for someone who isn't opposed to frequent national travel, as this will be required as part of the role.

Key Responsibilities



Supporting line managers across the full scope of all Employee Relations (ER) cases, which will include disciplinaries, grievances, capability and performance issues. Monitoring absence and supporting managers to take the appropriate action. Support with training/coaching to managers. Assisting managers in the interpretation of policies and procedures. Responding and resolving enquiries within contractual SLAs. Making informed decisions that take into account the facts, goals, and risks to the business. Helping to deliver HR projects Support in drafting documentation/contract letters in line with company policies and procedures. Promoting equality and diversity as part of the culture of the organisation Liaising with a range of people involved in policy areas such as staff performance and health and safety Maintaining employee records, ensuring documentation of processes are kept centrally. Working with the HRBP's to support the HR planning strategies, which consider immediate and long-term requirements Supporting the development and implementation of HR initiatives and HR systems The ability to analyse, interpret data and produce weekly/monthly reports Develop and maintain HR dashboards, reports, and visualisations to provide insights into workforce trends, employee engagement, turnover, and other HR metrics. Work with HR stakeholders to understand their reporting and analytical needs, and develop custom solutions to meet those needs. To maintain and implement the HR System changes and enhancements; understand what is available and make recommendations on how the business and HR team can fully utilise the HRIS. Contribute to defining and implementing processes and procedures that add value to transactional activities Facilitate, support and monitor any DSAR requests within the agreed timeframe Review, revise and implement data privacy policies and procedures in compliance with data protection laws such as GDPR. Support with HR processes and activities that involve high risks to employees' data privacy, as required by GDPR. This includes identifying potential risks, evaluating their impact, and implementing measures to mitigate risks.

Qualifications/Experience



CIPD qualification desirable HR/Employee Relations experience HRIS Systems reporting experience with demonstrable experience in extracting and analysing data Knowledge of data protection legislation and GDPR Strong MS Office skills including Excel for Pivot Tables and VLOOKUP, Word, and PowerPoint Outstanding organizational and time-management abilities Problem-solving and decision-making aptitude Ability to maintain confidentiality in sensitive matters displaying excellent judgement. Flexibility to support the operational demands of the role
