About the role



This role is one of the key functions within the Service, Academy & Technical Support Organisation delivering support to both internal and external customers, including:


Specialised national support on the complete portfolio of Drager systems & IT applications (both Medical & Safety) to internal & external customers both onsite and remotely.

Technical specialist for the organisation on configured systems & product lines providing technical advice, escalation support.

Provide sales support on new and existing products for systems-based installations.

Assist & liaise with Regional Service Managers, Project Managers & Sales Account Managers for both safety and medical sectors.

Assist & provide support on-site & remotely to Monitoring & IT Senior Engineers for installation activities & daily operational issues.

Support technical updates, upgrades & corrective actions as required, either in the field or remotely.

Transfer skills and knowledge to internal and external customers.

Perform routine server and database maintenance to ensure application performance & maximum uptime of installed base, as required.

Responsible for problem solving within competency or escalation, as appropriate.

Participate in an out-of-hours support rota, as required.

Identify specialist tools & software applications as needed by service engineers or customers.

Feedback the quality situation and issues on specific devices to the quality department.

To promote Drager training, products and technical services.

Provide technical support for ServiceConnect & DragerConnect related issues.

Reporting Relationships





Manager - System Services & Training Manager



Size of team/environment - Working within a small team (less than 10). The role is Field based with a large proportion of the work being carried out from home.

Your Qualifications

Role Requirements





Education/Qualifications


Degree level or higher education certificate in related subject.

Qualification/experience in a specialty of IT such as networking, server configuration,wireless systems, database managment and interfacing 3rd party devices.


Related Experience


Knowledge of Drager and other marketplace products.

Significant related experience in the appropriate industry sector.

High level technical & practical knowledge.

Experience in a speciality of IT such as networking, server configuration, database management and or interfacing 3rd party devices.


Skills, Special Competencies


Customer focus with a positive attitude towards solving customer problems.

Ability to communicate professionally with customers and present a positive image of the company.

Excellent inter-personal skills with the ability to cascade knowledge.

Hold a valid ECS card or similar, if duties require.

Full driving licence.

Undergo an enhanced DBS check.

Fluent in English.

Expertise in use of software applications, such as MS Office.

Excellent organisational skills with the ability to organise and prioritise own workload.

Ability to work as part of a team.

Must be reliable.

To be trustworthy & honest.

To represent the culture of Drager at all times.
