As Editorial Assistant/Sub-Editor, you'll be part of a collaborative Content & Editorial Team that produces trusted, high-quality content on international trade, business and cross-border growth. You'll play a vital role in ensuring everything we publish is clear, accurate and engaging for SMEs navigating complex global markets.

The difference you'll make:



Reviewing and editing content submitted by our global ecosystem of trade solutions providers, in-market specialists and in-house editorial team for maximum impact. Ensuring clarity, accuracy and adherence to our editorial standards, and compliance with relevant regulatory and legal guidelines. Perfecting and correcting grammar, style and tone of all content, and verifying facts and figures. Performing final layout checks on all content before publication, ensuring content is complemented with appropriate images and graphics. Supporting the team in content management and production, ensuring timely delivery and publication in line with the editorial calendar Collaborating with the editorial team and external content contributors to maintain the quality and consistency of content, providing constructive feedback where necessary.


What you'll bring:



These are the essential requirements you need to be successful in this role:


Proven experience in sub-editing, copy-editing or journalism, with excellent writing skills and exceptional attention to detail, grammar and factual accuracy. Up-to-date knowledge of relevant publishing codes of conduct and legal frameworks across both traditional and new media, and the confidence to flag potential issues. Solid ability to edit for clarity, consistency and house style, with an understanding of how to adapt content for different platforms and audiences. Strong written and verbal communication skills and editorial judgement, with the ability to liaise with internal and external stakeholders to resolve queries and maintain deadlines.

It would also be nice for you to have:



Additional languages are highly beneficial An interest in or understanding of global trade, to add context and insight when editing and support commissioning if needed Familiarity with the use of CMS and workflow tools to publish and update content efficiently Experience in multimedia digital content production

What else you need to know:



This role is a 12-month Fixed Term Contract based in Triton Square London.


We want our people to thrive at work and home and be able to deliver the best outcomes for our customers and to help each other develop. To support this, we offer site-based contracts with a hybrid working pattern and our expected level of attendance in an office is at least 12 days per month (pro-rata for part-time roles).
