GMV is an experienced technology group and we are seeking a talented

Intermediate

Navigation Algorithms Engineer

to join our Algorithms and Positioning Services team in Nottingham and contribute to the development of cutting-edge positioning solutions. This role offers the opportunity to work on essential navigation technologies for autonomous platforms, such as driverless cars and drones. You will be working on the highest accuracy satellite navigation systems, providing performance improvements through mathematical algorithm developments and integration with other sensors, such as vision based, inertial and quantum based devices.





WHAT CHALLENGE WILL YOU BE TAKING ON?




We develop state-of-the-art solutions and algorithms that leverage novel technologies to deliver high-performance, high-accuracy positioning solutions. Our work is driven by a strong team-oriented culture.


You'll be involved in every stage of the software development process, contributing to requirements definition, algorithm and system design, implementation, and final validation, ensuring real impact on end-to-end solution delivery


The position also entails performance evaluation of the developed systems, as well as exploratory work on emerging technologies and innovative applications in the field of positioning and navigation.



WHAT DO WE NEED IN OUR TEAM?



We are looking for experts in Navigation with over 3 years experience within

:

Geo-location positioning or navigation systems (eg GNSS). Mathematical techniques used in navigation systems, including (but not limited to) Weighted Least Squares estimation and Kalman filtering. Precise Point Positioning (PPP), Real-Time Kinematic (RTK) algorithms. Programming languages: C/C++, MATLAB, Python" Algorithm design and documentation.

We will also value knowledge or experience of

:

Quantum based technology and sensors. Artificial Intelligence Algorithms. Non-GNSS sensors for navigation. Mathematical background with experience in CI/CD pipelines and Agile methodologies.
