37,964- 43,562 per annum (subject to a progression criteria)


Annual Leave:

45 days per annum plus bank holidays


Contractual hours:

37 hours per week, 52 weeks


Teaching hours:

864 hours per annum


Basis:

Full time, Permanent

Adult and Community Learning supports individuals who are NEET (Not in Education, Employment or Training), unemployed, or on a low income by providing essential skills, training, and upskilling opportunities. These programmes address local skills gaps identified within the Tees Valley region. Many of the learners have been out of formal education for several years or have only recently become NEET. The department delivers targeted training in key areas to help learners progress into further education or employment.





The

Curriculum Team Leader (CTL)

plays a crucial leadership role within the 16-18 NEET curriculum team, overseeing the day-to-day management of the provision. This includes designing and developing innovative, learner-focused programmes--ranging from academic courses to non-regulated training--tailored to engage and support the most hard-to-reach young people. The CTL will be responsible for maintaining curriculum quality and contributing to performance management to ensure high standards of teaching, learning, and learner outcomes.





What You'll Be Doing




As a NEET Curriculum Team Leader, you will:





Plan a varied program of study that meets the individual needs, interests, and abilities of all students; this maybe qualification driven or community-based delivery. Create a classroom environment that is conducive to learning and is developmentally appropriate to the maturity and interests of all students. Employ a variety of teaching techniques and resources consistent with best practices, specific content knowledge, the physical limitations of the space provided, and the needs and capabilities of the individuals or student groups involved. Plan and deliver a suitable Assessment Programme ensuring marked work meets Middlesbrough College Gold Standards. Implement Middlesbrough College's Core Values through the Gold Standard of Teaching and Learning.

We seek candidates who:





Hold a relevant qualification at Degree level.

Are a qualified Teacher or must be prepared to commence an appropriate teaching qualification on appointment to the post.

Personal commitment to keeping your professional knowledge up to date and improving your capabilities.

Hold Grade C or above in Maths and English (or equivalent) or willing to work towards it.

Personal commitment to keeping your professional knowledge up to date and improving your capabilities - Desirable.

To be willing to work towards Middlesbrough College's Advanced Practitioner Programme
