Casual Car Documentation- The successful candidate will be a designated Casual Car User which means that car journeys may be necessary on an occasional basis, but are not essential to the role. If you do drive, you must always hold a full valid driving licence and provide your own car for use at work, as well as provide all the appropriate documentation. You will receive an allowance per mile of business use.
The Neighbourhood Compliance Manager will lead the teams responsible for compliance in our neighbourhoods across the city in relation to a range of issues including waste disposal, fly-tipping. highway obstruction, littering, untidy land. They will play a key role in the clean and green agenda and support the enforcement approach to improving standards across the city. You will be responsible for ensuring high quality services are delivered in response to a large demand. You will make sure that enforcement is used appropriately and to best effect to drive improvements.

If successful you will join a team of experienced managers in compliance and enforcement services. You will lead some highly skilled and motivated teams that drive neighbourhood compliance, to maintain clean safe and vibrant neighbourhoods across the City of Manchester.

About the Candidate
We would love to hear from you if you have experience of:
Detailed and extensive of the local government regulatory and enforcement environment with specific reference to Environmental Health
Have an environmental health qualification or be able to demonstrate significant experience of legislation and policies that govern regulatory and compliance services.
Strong analytical and reasoning skills with the ability to proactively think through problems and deliver pragmatic solutions sometimes under extreme pressure
The ability to manage a complex range of service areas within a large department and multiple priorities with confidence
